Wendy Magahay is an actor and theatre artist working and living on Canada’s west coast (lək̓ʷəŋən Traditional Territory).

Wendy holds a BA in Theatre from McGill and completed 2 years of stage training at each of Dalhousie University, and Montreal’s Dome Theatre. And while an actor’s life was Plan A, a full and rewarding career as an educator became a valued Plan B.

A relocation from the other side of the mountains at 40, provided a rediscovery of the stage. Wendy has since performed with numerous west coast companies where favourite credits include snafu dance theatre (Calling Home: Stories from Military Families), hapax theatre (The Incredible Glowing Woman), The Greater Victoria Shakespeare Festival (The Tempest), University of Victoria (It’s Just Black Hair), Theatre Inconnu (Jocasta Regina), Outpost 31 (Shadow in the Water), and Bēma Productions (Old Lady’s Guide to Survival). Her performances in the Victoria Fringe Festival supported Pick of the Fringe Drama Awards in both 2016 and 2017. Wendy performs regularly in the Island Medical Program.
